Spofforth Win Harrogate Evening League Jamboree

All 7 League Teams and 2 Junior teams entered this years Jamboree which is an annual competition held at the St.Roberts Club with teams of 4 players each playing an opponent from one of the other teams in one game of 60 mins each on the clock.

Each of the Spofforth players also play for Boston Spa with Jim Postill getting the team off to a good start with a win against a junior. Bob Maltby soon won on his board with Paul May and Paul Brencher getting their wins with minutes to spare.

Paul Brencher had a spectacular win over Mark Rogerson (2061 grade) - a shame these games weren't graded!

Spofforth were the only team to get 4 out of 4 with two other teams getting 3.5 out of 4.

Having finished early, Jim missed out on the prize giving and team photo. Well done team!
