New Season Kicks Off!

The Leeds League kicked off with 4 of our 5 Boston Spa teams playing against each other on 25th Sep (a week earlier than everyone else due to our venue not being available on 2nd Oct) with the A team playing away against Div 1 Champions Leeds A on 2nd.

The C team had the white pieces against our B team in division 2, but the stronger B team won out 3.5 v 1.5, whilst the E team had the white pieces against our D team in division 3 where they overcame their stronger opponents.

A warm welcome to 3 players making their league debut for Boston Spa tonight – Nishi Shah who has previously played for Leeds Uni, and total newcomers to playing graded games over the board, 13 year old Oscar Tomlinson and Rajesh Hukam who has been press ganged by Chris Tatham.

The A team came close, but lost their match against last seasons champions 3-2 - Unlucky guys!
